A Simple and Cost Effective Colorimeter for Characterising Observer Variability in Colour Matching Experiments

چکیده

In colour science, matching functions (CMFs) are essential for measuring how sensitive the human eye is to various light wavelengths and determining of stimuli in viewing situations. It has traditionally taken a lot time effort conduct colour-matching studies describe an observer’s perception colour. This article presents simple compact 3D-printed colorimeter designed experiments. A pilot study was conducted using with four observers participating maximum saturation-type experiment., where they would match spectral lights 400-720 nm range three narrow band LED primaries. The aimed assess accuracy performance system individual observer CMFs. Results showed that CMFs normal characteristics colour-normal observer. However, limited number measurements per may have contributed lack smoothness one were compared Stiles Burch 1955 RGB CMFs, after normalising same We noted red green fell within expected range, while blue function some unusual characteristics. limitations overall also discussed. conclusion, promising results however need be addressed improve accuracy. Additionally, further required better characterise intra-observer inter-observer variabilities.

A simple high-speed recording colorimeter system.

The rapid and continuous increase in microbiological assays requested of the routine clinical laboratory has created physical problems by the sheer number of tubes involved. One of the major difficulties is associated with the reading of large numbers of cultures with conventional instruments. In those assays where it is the rate of growth that is being measured, eg, Lactobacillus casei folate ...

Simple Cost-effective Scour Sensor

Local bridge scour is caused by the interference of bridge piers with the flow of water and is characterized by the formation of scour holes. Local scour occurs at a bridge pier when the local flow field is strong enough to remove bed materials. Several variables affect the scour depth including the flow intensity, the relative flow depth, the pier-width, and the properties of the river bed mat...

A cost effective and sensitive method for the determination of ammonia concentration in nanocrystal mordenite

The reduction capacity of ammonia while present even at ppm level can be demonstrated by the increased encounter probability between ammonia and methylene blue dye (MB+) incorporated in nanomordenite and Na-MOR zeolites. The rate of reduction methylene blue dye by ammonia on the surface nanomordenite zeolite is faster than Na-mordenite (Na-MOR) zeolite.Because nanomordenite zeolite with high si...
